About Feng Shui

Feng Shui (pronounced fung shway), literally translated means “wind" and "water.” It is an ancient Chinese art of design and placement that has been practiced for centuries in China. It is not a religion and can be used by people of all religious backgrounds and all paths of life.

Feng Shui is about balancing the relationship between nature and ourselves so that we can live in harmony with our environment. Everything in the Universe is created by ch’i (energy). To achieve this balance, the energy must be balanced and harmonious so that it supports you.

Our home, office or work spaces are a reflection of everything we are and what goes on in our lives. By adjusting positive ch’i within our environments, we can effectively improve every aspect of our lives. This influence is achieved by placing objects and/or intentions into objects that will augment the natural energy flow.

If we live in harmony with our environment, we experience well-being. We feel empowered, fulfilled and supported. These feelings go hand in hand with good health and prosperity. Feng Shui is an effective method of changing our environment to influence our lives.

There are different schools of Feng Shui, each with its approaches and techniques, all of them though aim to create a harmonious environment. The Wind and Water School of Feng Shui that I follow is Black Hat Sect Tantric Buddhist Feng Shui (BTB). This school of Feng Shui was originated in Tibet, and was further developed and introduced to the West by His Holiness Grand Master Professor Thomas Lin Yun. He is highly regarded as a leading authority on Feng Shui and Chinese philosophy.
